МАRY КОМ HOUSE
Mary Kom House Is one of the Four house of our school. This house is named after Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmangte, popularly know as Mary Kom. Boar in Manipur in a middle class family she become “The Queen of Boxing”.
Being an incredible woman and athlete she broke so many records with her firm determination dedication and passion. She broke the stereotype that Married women cannot become successful athlete.
A film has been few eluded on the life of Mary Kom. Her life is full of struggles but her successful career proves. That struggles are nothing but helpful milestones that gives us inspiration. She has proved that our background holds no power over us. If we possess passion we definitely find ways to realize what we strive for.
Mary kom was honoured with Padma Shri (Sports) in 2006 and Padma Bhushan in 2013. In 2009, she was awarded with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel ratna Award. She was also nominated as a member of Rajya Sabha by the President of India.
Mary Kom’s life itself is an inspiration all her qualities like passion , firm determination and enthusiasm motivate us to inculcate such qualities in our students. One of her life lessons teaches us that.
“Winning isn’t just about scaring the most points it is also about getting and gong on”.
Her whole life journey persuades us to name our house “MARY KOM”
